General Features of SCSA Stages
Steel Challenge stages are designed to be straightforward yet challenging. Each stage consists of five steel targets set at varying distances and angles. The shooter begins at a designated starting position and, upon the signal, engages the targets as quickly as possible. One of the targets is designated as a “stop plate,” which must be hit last. Safety is a core element, with courses designed to minimize the risk of ricochets and strict rules enforced during competition. The stages are shot multiple times, with the slowest run discarded, emphasizing consistency and repeatability in performance.
